I have always loved dogs but because of my work could never adopt one. Now I am retired I can take one into my home but am worried about the cost. They have two lovely little girls at the local dog rescue centre and they will pay for shots, chip etc. which is great. A friend has told me that he cooks his own dog food. This consists of 1kg long grain rice, 600gms chicken breast and 400gms mixed vegetables. This he cooks in bulk and freezes. Each day he puts tomorrows portion in the fridge. Two hours before Doggy dinner time he takes it from the fridge so it's not too cold and serves with a sprinkle of dried dog food. My query is, although to my inexpert ear this sounds O.K., will this be a good balanced diet for my two little girlies? Your advice would be much appreciated. Thank you Geoff
